On my spare time I started to develop "one more" audio player. It is far from been ready to the general public but I am actually using it (right this moment!). I tried to find a product that satisfies me and at the same time can be used by my entire family but I couldn't.

The golden goal: a cross platform solution with a powerfull and very customizable interface without using a TV or monitor. To accomplish this I picked JAVA as the platform to develop a web application and interfaces with Serial LCD displays and remote control receivers.

While working on this project I could not find any libraries to access these kind of devices using JAVA so I decided to create my own...

CrystalFontz has provided me with samples for some of their LCD displays and I have decided to make some of them (CF631 and CF633) available to other developers.
